Service Description

Levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced Ages: 12-17 Languages of instruction: English, Russian The Stage Management Practicum is designed to provide young individuals who are interested in backstage work and stage management with the tools and experience they need to develop a skill set in play production. The Stage Management (SM) student will receive one-on-one training with KingDom Theatre’s instructor to gain knowledge and skills that are essential for a professional Stage Manager. The SM student will be paired with one of our acting classes and will be responsible for organizing props/set/costumes, recording pertinent blocking, creating a prompt book, running warm-ups with cast members, while working closely with actors, designers and the director. The SM student is required to attend all of the scheduled rehearsals and performances. This is a one-year program that consists of two semesters (September to June). Advanced SM students will have an opportunity to participate in the international tours and festivals with the group of actors they stage manage.
